Genting Malaysia has issued a public warning about an online survey scam currently circulating on social media.
According to the warning, posted on the group’s corporate website, the scam alleges it is connected with Genting Group’s 25th anniversary and encourages people to click on a lick.
Genting Malaysia said it is “not involved or associated in any way with this online survey,” adding, “Please do not click on the link and refrain from circulating it.”
The scam comes as Genting Malaysia prepares for the reopening of Genting Highlands, home of Resorts World Genting, which is due to reopen later this week after closing its doors almost four months ago.
It is one of three Malaysian tourism destinations named last week as likely to be included in a domestic tourism bubble as the nation continues efforts to reopen businesses and rekindle the local economy.
It was reported on Sunday that more than 83% of Malaysia’s adult population is now fully vaccinated.
