Macau’s Galaxy Entertainment Group says more than 12,000 of its staff and their families have now either been vaccinated or have registered to do so under its COVID-19 vaccine initiatives.
The company this week welcomed back the Macau Health Bureau to establish another vaccination point at Galaxy Macau from 12 to 15 July while also holding a vaccination talk and roadshows in the back-of-house areas for staff.
Those who took part were granted Special Vaccine Leave as motivation and to ensure they were provided all necessary information. Under the leave initiative, any staff who receive their first and second shot of COVID-19 vaccine between June 1 and August 31 are granted up to two days of Special Vaccine Leave.
Having received his first dose of vaccine during GEG’s previous sessions in June, Vice-Chairman Francis Lui received his second dose this time around after which he thanked the Health Bureau’s medical workers for their efforts.
GEG has now held three Vaccine Information Seminars for staff with the Health Bureau due to hold another vaccine talk at its peninsula property StarWorld next week.
