Galaxy Entertainment Group has signed a collaboration agreement with global hospitality group Accor that will see the world-famous Raffles brand come to Galaxy Macau.
Scheduled to open in the second half of 2021 as part of Galaxy Macau’s Phase 3 development, Raffles at Galaxy Macau promises an exclusive all-suite tower featuring around 450 suites plus a Mediterranean-inspired garden, infinity edge pool, luxury spa and fine dining restaurant to be overseen by a “multi-Michelin-starred Japanese chef.”
“The Raffles brand and heritage is perfectly complementary to our strategy of delivering greater, elevated experiences, and true to our ‘World Class, Asian Heart’ mantra,” said GEG Vice Chairman, Francis Lui.
“This collaboration with Raffles and Accor in the development of Raffles at Galaxy Macau brings yet another differentiated luxury perspective and dimension in GEG’s growing portfolio and estate. Aside from offering more diversity in our luxury accommodations at Galaxy Macau, we expect it will also raise the bar to new heights throughout the region.”
Home of the world-famous cocktail Singapore Sling, the original Raffles opened in Singapore in 1887 and has since expanded to 20 locations worldwide, including nine in the Asia-Pacific region.
Raffles at Galaxy Macau will be the landmark attraction of Galaxy Macau’s latest development, which sees two distinct towers connected on every level by a glass air bridge. Its best suites will provide guests with their own private pools and gardens, double-storey windows and service from the renowned Raffles butlers.
“We are incredibly proud to be collaborating with GEG for the Raffles located at Galaxy Macau, the most ultra-luxurious experience in Macau,” said Gary Rosen, CEO of Accor Greater China. “As a key destination on the global map, Macau is ideal for our next Raffles.
“The Raffles at Galaxy Macau will invite guests to experience Raffles’ legendary service and impeccable design, offering an oasis of luxury, glamour and adventure in one of the world’s most exciting destinations – it will no doubt become the preferred choice for the most discerning guests.”
