Inside Asian Gaming has announced that the eighth instalment of networking social event Macau After Dark, MAD 8, will be held on Friday 5 March at popular Portuguese-style petiscos house, Portucau. The theme of the event is: Senado Square 1960 – one night to savor the vintage Macanese and Portuguese spirit.

Located a very short stroll from Senado Square on the Macau Peninsula, Portucau offers the atmosphere of a typical Portuguese Petiscos house, combining vintage decorations collected from many trips to Portugal and locally in Macau.

The restaurant provides a wide selection of petiscos that can be followed by traditional Portuguese main courses, transporting customers back in time to experience old Macanese and Portuguese culture in a casual and friendly environment.

“I welcome everyone to come to Portucau and thanks to IAG for hosting this wonderful event,” said Portucau’s Executive Chef, Pedro Almeida. “Portucau is an ideal venue for hosting events like this. We position ourselves as a unique Portuguese restaurant concept promoting ‘petiscos’, meaning small delicacies.

“This dining style is similar to dim sum in local culture or tapas in Spain. Petiscos is a very traditional concept but has become more trendy in recent years. I hope all of our guests enjoy the experience!”

IAG Vice Chairman and CEO Andrew W Scott said, “We are always looking to find unique, interesting and fun venues to host Macau After Dark and we are sure our guests will have a memorable evening when they join us at Portucau.

“It’s great to be back for our first event of 2021 and we look forward to seeing all our friends and colleagues again.”

MAD is a regular series of industry networking social events held in Asia’s gaming hub of Macau. Each MAD brings together key industry decision-makers with the people they want to meet in a relaxed and friendly environment. A new venue is chosen for each event.

Attendees of MAD must work for an operator, a supplier to an operator, a VIP promoter or be connected to the industry in some way. All attendees must supply their business cards upon entrance. There is also a select VIP list for each event.

This event is by invitation only.
