The Australian Chamber of Commerce in Macau (AustCham Macau) will host its seventh Power Hour this Wednesday where an expert panel will review the year that was and look ahead to 2021.
The panel will comprise Professor Brian Tomlinson from the Faculty of Medicine at Macau University of Science and Medicine (MUST), AustCham Macau Chairman and Head of Internal Audit Department at Banco Comercial de Macau, S.A, Patrick Liu, and Multi-Property Vice-President at Sheraton Macao and St. Regis Macao, Janet McNab. IAG Vice Chairman and CEO Andrew W Scott will moderate the session, with a focus on the panelists’ field of expertise – medicine, finance and hospitality.
“I’m going to bring us up to date on the COVID-19 situation, what’s developed over the course of the year and where we are at this point in time,” said Professor Tomlinson.
“It’s not quite over yet! The situation in Macau has been handled very well. In Macau we are very lucky that we haven’t been exposed to the virus as most other places in the world.
“We’re probably better off than pretty well anywhere else. The health care system in Macau is improving all the time. With the new medical school we are making very good progress.”
Power Hour 7 will start from 6.30pm this Wednesday 16 December 2020 and is free of charge to members and non-members. Please email secretary@austcham.mo.
