All visitors to Malaysia’s Resorts World Genting will be required to wear a face mask from 1 August 2020, the company has announced.
The new directive follows an order issued by the Malaysian government this week under which face masks will be mandatory in public spaces.
RWG, owned and operating by Genting Malaysia, published an update on its website on Wednesday stating that, “In line with this directive, all guests visiting Resorts World Genting must wear face masks with effect from [1 August 2020]. Anyone who does not wear a face mask will be denied entry to the resort.”
Genting Malaysia reopened its flagship Malaysian integrated resort on Friday 19 June, almost three months to the day after closing its doors as part of Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin’s Movement Control Order.
Although casino access is currently restricted to members, the company recently revealed that business levels are already back to 50% of usual.
