The first patient diagnosed with the novel Coronavirus in Macau has recovered and left the city, local health authorities announced on Thursday.

The 52-year-old patient from Wuhan arrived in Macau via the Border Gate on 19 January and was confirmed as infected on 21 January, indicating the outbreak of the virus in the city.

As previously reported by Inside Asian Gaming, the patient had spent most of her time before falling ill at Landmark Casino.

The Health Bureau said the patient had recovered, had tested negative for Coronavirus and that all of her health indicators are now normal. The patient left Macau on Thursday with a police escort.
