Philippines integrated resort Okada Manila reported record visitation and revenue in December, pushing its gross gaming revenue for FY19 to Php39.79 billion (US$784 million) – a 46.2% increase over 2018 numbers.
In a Wednesday update, parent company Universal Entertainment Corporation revealed that Okada Manila operator Tiger Resort, Leisure & Entertainment, Inc. (TRLEI) posted GGR of Php4.63 billion (US$91.2 million) in December – up 76% year-on-year – and adjusted segment EBITDA of Php1.04 billion (US$20.5 million), representing a 127% increase. Both were all time monthly records for the property as it continues to power towards full operations.
Growth was seen across all segments, with December’s VIP rolling chip volume recording a 62.2% increase to Php65.83 billion (US$1.3 billion) with win up 152.4% to Php2.73 billion (US$53.8 million) thanks to a very high win rate of 4.15%.
Mass table drop increased 6.3% to Php1.77 billion (US$34.9 million) with win of Php964 million (US19 million), while slot handle grew 27.1% to Php16.38 billion with win of Php934 million (US$18.4 million).
Visitation to Okada Manila in December was 644,943 for the month, taking the total number of visitors entering the property in 2019 to just over 6 million, compared with around 4.8 million in 2018.
