Melco Resorts & Entertainment has announced plans to establish an in-house nursery to support employees with young children.
The nursery will be located at one of the company’s Macau integrated resorts – either City of Dreams or Studio City – subject to relevant licenses being obtained and will be operated by Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Macau (The Macau Holy House of Mercy).
“A most important pillar for our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is women and families,” said Melco Chairman and CEO Lawrence Ho.
“We have been at the forefront from 2007 when we set up free cancer screening for women in Macau. Melco was the first integrated resort operator to set up lactation rooms across all its properties. Encouraging taking care of the primary priority of children while working, the Melco in-house nursery will facilitate the wellbeing of families.”
Melco has been an active supporter of women’s initiatives, including the implementation of its Strawberry Life scheme which enables employees to work part time where family commitments demand while remaining eligible for full-time benefits on a prorated basis.
