IAG SEP 2019年9月 亞博匯 82 INDUSTRY PROFILE V icky Chan was the only woman named as one of five “Best Industry Rising Stars” at the 2019 G2E Asia Awards, a fact that already sets her apart in the Macau gaming industry. Assistant General Manager – Corporate Sales and Marketing at Asia Pioneer Entertainment (APE), she was involved in the company’s 2017 Initial Public Offering as well as being central to its growth in the nearly two years since. IAG sat down with Vicky to find out a little bit more. Oscar Guijarro: Can you tell us a bit about your background? Vicky Chan: I grew up in Macau and studied at the Macao University of Science and Technology. I almost haven’t left Macau in my entire life except for some brief travelling. My mother was manager of a tailoring company in the late 1980s but she decided to give up her career and became a full- time housewife for a few years after having me and my brother. That time was also the most wonderful childhood memory for both of us. When I was 12 my parents decided to move the family to America to stay nearby their siblings, then a year later we moved back to Macau for some reason. OG: What made you start working in the gaming sector? VC: A fter my graduation in Marketing some of my friends started to join the manufacturers in the gaming industry. That’s how I knew about the distribution and manufacturing business. At that time, Herman Ng (CEO and Executive Director of APE) was hiring sales people, so I gave it a try. It was an amazing experience. 陳 家欣是2019年亞洲娛樂大獎裏五名獲頒「最 佳行業新星獎」的得獎者中唯一一位女性，這 事就足以讓她在澳門的博彩業界中穎脫而 出。作為亞洲先鋒娛樂(APE)的總經理助理(銷 售及市場推廣部)，她參與了公司在2017年的 首次公開招股，以及在之後近兩年在幫助集團成長方面擔當了重 要的角色。《亞博匯》就與陳家欣暢談，希望了解更多她的故事。 Oscar Guijarro: 可以告訴我們多一點關於你的背景嗎？ Vicky Chan: 我在澳門長大，就讀於澳門科技大學。除了幾次短暫 的旅遊外，我幾乎都沒有離開過澳門。 上世紀八十年代末，我母親是一家裁縫公司的經理，但在我 和弟弟出生之後，她決定放棄自己的事業，成為全職家庭主婦。那 段時光也是我們倆最好的兒時回憶。 當我12歲時，我的父母決定全家搬去美國，去和他們的兄弟 姐妹一起住，一年之後我們又決定搬回澳門。 OG: 是甚麼讓你開始在博彩業工作的呢？ VC: 我在大學取得市場學的學位後，有些我的朋友就開始投身博 彩業裏的一些製造商之中。這讓我認識到關於經銷和製造的業 務。那時，吳民豪先生(APE的行政總裁及執行董事)正在招聘銷售 人員，所以我就決定要嘗試一下。這個經驗十分美好。 OG: 在這個行業之中你最享受的是甚麼？ VC: 就是這裏的人—他們都很友善和專業。如果你有問題提出，他 們都樂意解答。這給了我很多機會可以從最基本開始學習。每當 你想知道一些關於一個市場的資訊，或者在想「我應該打電話去 問還是直接走去一間娛樂場呢？」人們總是歡迎提問並樂於解釋 實時市場是甚麼樣的。 這個行業的專業人士都很好，願意提供好的建議。我喜歡為 公司和客戶解決問題，為合適的公司提供正確的產品。我從工作 中學到了很多，學無止境。 這個行業最有趣的部分就是，你要不斷學習新的產品和技 術。 OG: 可以跟我們分享「陳家欣」的一天行程嗎？ VC: 如果可以的話，我都嘗試以會議來開始我的早上。之後，我比 較喜歡回到辦公室，準備一些建議或計劃書，撰寫展望及參加管 理會議。 放工後，我比較喜歡留到家中陪我的孩子。她今年只有一歲 半，是一個最能夠在與她玩耍時得到快樂的時間。雖然工作很累， 但是當回到家後和她一起玩，這是一天裏最解壓的時刻。
