Ourgame said it planned to spend HK$125 million “to further develop the eSports business and expand the global arena network” of its subsidiary, Tianjin Allied eSports Arena Internet Technology Co Ltd (AES). “The company plans to build approximately four to six eSports arenas in the US and approximately two to four eSports arenas in the PRC in 2018 and early 2019,” it said. “The company also plans to build approximately two mobile eSports arena trucks that are currently being used in Europe to be introduced to the US in 2018.” AES is currently developing the first permanent eSports venue on the Las Vegas Strip at MGM’s Luxor Hotel and Casino, due to open in 2018, having raised HK$120 million through the issuance of convertible notes in July.
