Inside Asian Gaming

Seven Luck’s Cultural Chic Tour of the Properties South Korea’s newly-created government-run casino operator, Grand Korea Leisure Corp, unveiled three casinos under the Seven Luck brand in 2006. Two of the casinos are located in Seoul, and the third in Busan, the country’s second largest city. Each of the Seven Luck casinos features distinct interior décor elements, from the dramatic water curtains throughout the gaming floor of the Seoul Hilton casino, to the traditional Korean doorknobs and ceiling details at the COEX outlet. The one thing all the Seven Luck properties have in common, however, is that they create a unique Korean “cultural experience,”which the company hopes will allow Seven Luck to retain its appeal despite the development of a slew of glitzy Vegas- style casino resorts around Asia. Seven Luck’s mission to woo gamblers with culture and service is detailed in Betting on Culture on page 4. In order to provide our readers a glimpse of Seven Luck’s distinctive style, Inside Asian Gaming visited the Seoul casinos along with a trio of Korean beauties – two are employees of Seven Luck, and the third, pictured here, is a former Miss Korea.
