Macau’s gaming industry came together again on Tuesday night as networking social Macau After Dark returned for the second time in 2023 and the first time ever in one of Macau’s integrated resorts.
Held at restaurant Aji at MGM Cotai, Macau After Dark 17 (MAD 17) saw more than 100 guests enjoy the elegant surrounds of MGM Cotai’s Spectacle atrium while enjoying a selection of canapes along with free flow drinks.
They were also warmly welcomed by Hubert Wang, President and COO of MGM China, who explained his love of the name “Macau After Dark”- describing it as “poetic” – and his pleasure at being able to host such a key networking event for the industry.
Later, a Lucky Draw saw four guests win fabulous prizes courtesy of MGM Cotai and popular Portuguese restaurant Albergue 1601, all while enjoying some lively welcome speeches from each of our key sponsors. The speeches were delivered by Ken Jolly, Vice President and Managing Director, Asia for Light & Wonder; Lloyd Robson, General Manager – Asia for Aristocrat; and Michael Cheers, Sales Director – Asia for IGT.
Inside Asian Gaming thanks all of our sponsors, which also included Macau SLOT, for their generous support.
“This was the 17th edition of Macau After Dark and we’ve held them in a variety of weird and wonderful venues over the years, but this was the first time we’ve had a concessionaire as venue sponsor,” said IAG Vice Chairman and CEO, Andrew W Scott.
“We are delighted that MGM Cotai was the venue of choice and it was terrific to bring the industry back together now that Macau is in full swing.”
IAG will announce dates and details for the next Macau After Dark and the return of Manila After Dark in the near future.
