Upgrades and new additions to the popular Duo Fu Duo Cai (DFDC) and Jin Ji Bao Xi (JJBX) games series are at the heart of Light & Wonder’s Asian release schedule for the remainder of 2022, the company has revealed.

Outlining its plans during a special “Vodcast” about its EGM offerings on Wednesday, Light & Wonder said it will soon release a new product for the Philippines, Malaysia, Vietnam and Cambodia called the Explosion Series, featuring two games related to proven titles – “5 Treasures Explosion” and “Dancing Drums Explosion”.

Both titles have performed well in the North American market, according to Senior Director Product Management for ANZ and Asia, Ben Attwood, and feature many of the proven elements of DFDC and JJBX.

Also set to be released into Asia towards the end of the year is a new product called Duo Fu Duo Cai Grand, which “features all the popular elements of the original with some new and exciting enhancements,” Attwood said.

“You will see two wealth pots, a Hold and Spin and a Persistence feature, and that will be approved late in the calendar year.

“Similarly we have a product called Jin Ji Bao Xi Grand planned for early 2023. This will be a big release for us on the Kascada Portrait cabinet but it is still in development, so stay tuned on that one.

“We are also bringing a lot of the classic games under the JJBX and DFDC series onto the DualosX cabinet, so there are a number of games [from these series] coming through.”

In Macau, Light & Wonder is readying to release its new Coin Combo product into the market after the family’s first game title, “Carnival Cow”, recently received DICJ approval – the first game approved by the Macau regulator under its new EGM Technical Standards 2.0.

A second Coin Combo game, “Hyper Horse”, will be released later in the year.

“We are also bringing forward a number of our classic titles for the Macau Version 2.0 standards, and then later in the year there is one big product which is DFDC Grand,” Attwood explained. “We still have a steady and really solid line-up for Macau this year.”
