Melco Resorts & Entertainment subsidiary Melco Cyprus has announced plans to host an open career day this Friday 25 February ahead of the impending launch of City of Dreams Mediterranean.
The Melco Open Career Day will be held at Melco Cyprus Career Centre in Limassol with the company looking to expand its team from 700 current employees to around 2,500 in the coming months.
Melco explained that candidates will have the opportunity to learn about job openings and career prospects at the company’s C2 casinos and at City of Dreams Mediterranean, including information about current vacancies, training procedures and career progression prospects.
“Melco values our people as the company’s most important asset,” said Vice President, Human Resources of Melco Cyprus, Emilios Rotsides.
“Therefore, in alignment with our global recruitment philosophy to ‘hire on attitude, image and potential and train on skills,’ emphasis is placed on providing specialised training programmes and opportunities for career development for our colleagues.”
Melco announced early last year that it expects to open its €550 million Cyprus integrated resort development in the northern summer of 2022. Set to be Europe’s largest integrated resort, City of Dreams Mediterranean will feature a 16-storey, five-star hotel with more than 500 luxury guest rooms and suites, 10,000 square meters of MICE space, an outdoor amphitheater, a family adventure park and a variety of fine-dining and luxury retail outlets. It will also boast a 7,500-square meter casino with 100 gaming tables and 1,000 slot machines.
The company currently operates three satellite casinos and a temporary facility in Limassol.
