The 2021 MGS Summit will see representatives of Macau’s casino concessionaires take part in an in-depth discussion on the business recovery of Macau gaming and tourism as a feature panel of this year’s event.
To be moderated by Professor Davis Fong, the panel will hear from the operators themselves as they provide their insights into what the industry’s recovery from COVID-19 will look like.
Professor Fong is director of the Institute for the Study of Commercial Gaming and a professor in the Faculty of Business Administration at the University of Macau, as well as being a member of Macau’s Legislative Assembly from 2017 to 2021.
This year’s MGS Summit will be an online-only event, conducted via Zoom and running from 9.30am until 4.30pm on Wednesday 17 November 2021.
Also confirmed to take part is Professor Wang Changbin, Director of the Centre for Gaming and Tourism Studies at Macao Polytechnic Institute, who will discuss Macau’s public gaming policy; and Professor Edmund Loi who will look at the “new normal” for Macau’s gaming economy.
Leading industry suppliers, including Scientific Games, will take part in a panel exploring the road ahead from the viewpoint of manufacturers. According to a representative of the event’s organizer, the Macau Gaming Equipment Manufacturers Association (MGEMA), more speakers will be announced in the coming weeks.
