The Asian Poker Tour will hold its first ever Japan event in 2019.
APT Tokyo will be held at the Casino Stadium Tokyo over two weekends from Friday 1 February to Monday 11 February 2019 with a compact schedule of eight events. However, rather than cash prizes, players will be rewarded with packages to APT Philippines 2019, which coincides with Japan’s Golden Week in late April and early May.
The winner of the APT Tokyo Main Event will win entry to the APT Philippines Main Event, the Championships Event and the High Rollers Event, second place will win entry to the APT Philippines Main Event and Championships Event while third and fourth will win entry to the Main Event. Side event winners at APT Tokyo will earn entry into various mixes of the APT Philippines Main Event and other side events.
The APT said that General Manager and Executive Tournament Director Lloyd Fontillas will serve as “guest host” for APT Tokyo.
