Asia’s gaming industry celebrated a new night of nights at G2E Asia in 2018 with the inaugural G2E Asia Awards attracting more than 350 guests to a glamorous dinner event in The Ballroom at MGM COTAI.
The G2E Asia Awards were a collaboration between G2E Asia and Inside Asian Gaming and are set to become a regular fixture on the annual calendar, recognizing excellence and innovation within Asian gaming.
A total of 12 awards categories were presented at the inaugural G2E Asia Awards, culminating with Best Integrated Resort which was won by Galaxy Macau.
The relaxed and enjoyable evening saw guests treated to world class entertainment from popular Hong Kong act Drum Jam, singer Crisel and a troupe of glamorous dancing girls.
The distinguished guest list also included some of the most important individuals representing Macau and Asia’s gaming and tourism industries, including DICJ Director Paulo Martins Chan; Director of the Macao Government Tourist Office Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes; Acting Director of the Macao Economic Bureau Chan Tze Wai; Founder and Chairman of the Asian Responsible Gaming Alliance and China Lottery Industry Salon, academic leader and professor of lottery major of Beijing College of Social Administration Prof. Su Gao Jin; and Chairman of LKF Group Dr Allan Zeman.
Representing Macau’s six concessionaires were Galaxy Entertainment Group director Philip Cheng Yee Sing, Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources and Corporate Social Responsibility Officer at Melco Resorts & Entertainment Akiko Takahashi; Chief Operation Officer of MGM China Holdings John Shigley; Senior Vice President of Asian Gaming Operations at Sands China Limited Cetin Tanisman; Director and Company Secretary of SJM Holdings Dr Rui Cunha; and Vice Chairman and Executive Director of Wynn Macau Limited Linda Chen.
