The Labor Day holidays saw Macau register just over 375,000 visitor arrivals this past weekend, a rise of 6.7% over the same time last year according to figures supplied by the Public Security Police Force.
More than 338,000 visitors arrived from Greater China over the three days from 29 April to 1 May – up 5.5% year-on-year – with mainland China up 5%, Hong Kong 7.5% and Taiwan 5/1%.
Hotels and guest houses enjoyed a 94.5% occupancy rate, 2.6 percentage point higher than in 2016 with the average room rate rising 1.2% to MOP$1,700.
