Bally Technology says it has ‘a strategic agreement’ to roll out its SDS slot management system across Macau gaming properties operated by SJM, Stanley Ho’s casino operating business.
Bally has already installed SDS 11 in two new SJM properties in Macau and in one famous old one. Bally set up SDS at L’Arc when it opened in September, Oceanus at the time of its December launch, and went live with the 40-year-old Casino Lisboa’s first slot management system earlier this year.
“We have an agreement to roll out systems across SJM properties,” says Cath Burns, Vice President, Asia Pacific Bally Technologies and Managing Director, Bally Macau Lda.
“I can’t discuss dollar specifics but I can say it’s a strategic deal for both companies.”
Bally says the primary function of SDS is data collection for slot accounting and player tracking purposes. The company states the system offers what it calls ‘superior’ single-wire functionality that works on older machines from a variety of manufacturers.
