Macau is consulting the public on construction of a five-kilometre rail link through the city’s Inner Harbour area.
This is of course before a single rail or sleeper has even been laid for the main network of the light rail system, which is due to form a 20-km network across the territory.
The proposal for a second-phase line is in response to criticism that the first phase favours casinos and bypasses poor areas.
