Macau’s Galaxy Entertainment Group has announced it will pay eligible employees a bonus equal to one month’s salary, with 98% of employees expected to benefit.

According to a Friday statement, the discretionary bonus will be granted to all eligible team members – meaning Senior Manager grade and below – on 31 January 2024.

Francis Lui, Vice Chairman of GEG, said, “In the past year, GEG and all our team members have worked as one to seize the opportunities arising from post-pandemic recovery whilst advancing amid stability and embarking on a new chapter of diverse business development through our Phase 3 projects.

“I would like to express my gratitude to all team members for their long-standing contributions and collaborated efforts in pursuing excellence underpinned by the ‘World Class, Asian Heart’ service philosophy, and look forward to embracing progress with innovative thinking and striding towards new horizons with new endeavors together.”

GEG noted that with the recent Grand Opening of Galaxy Macau Phase 3, the company had enhanced its focus on non-gaming attractions to support Macau’s development as a “World Center of Tourism and Leisure” and the government’s “1+4” adequate diversification development strategy.

“GEG will contribute to enhancing Macau’s integrated tourism and leisure industry through practical actions and support various sectors of the community in forging a better future,” it said.
