STRAITS TIMES A Taiwanese woman charged earlier with stealing a $500 cash chip from her employer Resorts World Sentosa is now accused of misappropriating chips totalling $111,400. Chiu Yee-Fong, 30, was a croupier at the casino when she allegedly converted the $111,400 cash chips entrusted to her between Sept 28 and Nov 7 for her own use. She was originally charged three weeks ago with the theft, but this has been amended to a criminal breach of trust. The bespectacled woman, who wears a pony-tail, was found fit to plead after being sent for psychiatric examination. The prosecution asked for the case to be adjourned to complete investigation. Bail of $200,000 was offered. Chiu’s next court date is Dec 13.
