Macau concessionaire MGM China has announced it will host global superstar singer Bruno Mars for a one-off concert at MGM Cotai on 6 January 2024.
Mars will perform his “The One & Only Night” concert at the roof terrace of MGM Cotai, with tickets set to go on sale from 9 December 2023.
According to MGM China, the performance is designed to help fulfil the Macau SAR Government’s diversification push, with a focus on non-gaming and overseas-marketing investments.
The company recently inked a deal with its parent company MGM Resorts under which the latter will enhance its international marketing efforts, including opening more overseas offices, with a view to growing MGM China’s international customer base.
MGM noted that entertainment is one of the city’s key initiatives to attract international travelers.
“MGM prides itself on being at the forefront of its multi-faceted non-gaming investments and it has kept elevating Macau’s increasingly international reputation as the destination for mega-events by surprising local and global audiences with impeccable entertainment line-ups,” it said.
Mars, a multiple Grammy Award winner, is renowned for global hits such as “Just the Way You Are”, “Uptown Funk”, “24K Magic”, “That’s What I Like” and “Wake Up in the Sky”.
