Melco Resorts & Entertainment’s Chief Operating Officer, David Sisk, said Wednesday the company is to launch new sales offices in four key locations – the Philippines, Singapore, Hong Kong and Cyprus – as part of its efforts to promote Macau to business and leisure travelers.

His comments were made at an event held at Melco’s Philippines integrated resort, City of Dreams Manila. The event, called “Glow Your Way to Macau”, was specifically aimed at pushing Macau’s appeal as a key destination for MICE and leisure, supporting the Macau government’s drive to attract international travelers and diversify visitor sources to the city.

It was publicly announced at the event that Melco had recently established its first sales office in the Philippines at City of Dreams Manila, however Sisk underlined plans for more offices globally, including in Cyprus where the company recently opened City of Dreams Mediterranean.

“In highlighting Macau’s appeal as a key destination for business and leisure travelers, we aim to entice local stakeholders and travelers from the Philippines to visit Macau with its abundance of exciting historical and cultural offerings,” said Sisk.

“The opening of Melco’s first sales office in the Philippines at City of Dreams Manila underlines our ongoing commitment to promoting Macau’s position as a global hub for tourism and leisure. The Philippines sales office, together with our forthcoming sales offices soon to be opened in Hong Kong, Singapore and the Republic of Cyprus, will serve as platforms to showcase the unique charm of Macau to international tourists.

“We wish also to extend our heartfelt appreciation to the Macau and Philippine governments and local authorities for their unwavering support, which have been instrumental in ensuring the success of this event and our related initiatives.”

Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes, Director of the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO), added, “Following the activation of Melco’s Macau Regional Sales Office last month here in Manila, this event celebrates the opening of a brand-new avenue to boost tourism relations between the Philippines and Macao.

“Melco Resorts needs no introduction neither in the Philippines nor in Macau, and I am very encouraged to see Melco leverage its well-established tourism brand to drive visitor flows between our two sides.”

Melco’s Macau operations include City of Dreams Macau, Studio City and Altira Macau.
