Manila’s Newport World Resorts has unveiled former Marina Bay Sands and Venetian Las Vegas executive Lance Gautreaux as its new Chief Casino Officer.
According to social media posts, Gautreaux started in the new role on Monday, with Newport World Resorts stating he brings more than 25 years of experience in the gaming industry.
He served as SVP of Table Games and later SVP of Casino Operations at Marina Bay Sands before more recently spending five years at The Venetian Las Vegas as Chief Casino Officer.
Gautreaux’s appointment comes with Newport World Resorts having last month reported gross gaming revenues of Php8.7 billion (US$153 million) in the three months to 30 June 2023, down 2% quarter-on-quarter although 8.2% higher than the same period last year. GGR for the first six months of 2023 was up 20% year-on-year to Php17.6 billion (US$310 million).
