Hong Kong-Macau Ferry to recommence Friday December 30

After nearly three years of suspension, the Hong Kong-Macau Ferry will resume operation on Friday December 30, according to an announcement this evening by the Macau Marine and Water Bureau.

The resumption is the latest move in Macau’s hasty reopening to the world.

There will only be sailings between Hong Kong International Airport and the Taipa Ferry Terminal for the time being, with no sailings to or from Hong Kong’s Shun Tak ferry terminal or the Macau side ferry terminal.

The route will operate on Fridays and Sundays and offer just one trip per day in each direction, from Hong Kong Airport to Taipa at 9.45am, and from Taipa to Hong Kong Airport at 2.30pm.

There is no news yet in relation to when the number of trips may ramp up, or when Shun Tak or the Macau side ferry terminal may open.
