Corporate Social Responsibility is a big deal in Macau right now, and IAG has recently been doing its bit in this regard, helping with the ongoing education and skills development of local Macau university students.
On Friday 9 September IAG‘s Vice Chairman and CEO Andrew W Scott spoke as a guest lecturer at the Gaming and Recreation Management Seminar program for 4th year students at the Centre for Gaming and Tourism Studies at the Macao Polytechnic University. Andrew’s 2.5 hour lecture focused on the development of the Asian gaming industry and the ongoing Macau tender process for the new casino concessions to run from 1 January 2023 to 31 December 2032.
The objective of these seminars is to enhance students’ understanding of related theories and management issues, in order to develop practical skills at work. Each seminar is conducted by a local or overseas scholar or expert, with seminar themes ranging from academic research to gaming and recreation industry management issues.
The seminars are intended to broaden students’ perspective of the industry, strengthen perception of related issues and encourage reflection on the relevance of the seminar themes to enhance industry development and management practice.
Students will be required to write a report on Andrew’s lecture in order to promote further learning and discussion.
