On the subject of air travel, the budget carrier AirAsia says it will launch a route from Penang in Malaysia to Macau from 1st March.
The carrier says it plans four direct weekly flights from Penang and three direct weekly flights from Macau.
AirAsia plans to reinstate previously suspended services from Macau to Kota Kinabalu in Sabah and Kuching in Sarawak on the same date.
The airline will also be increasing the frequency of its flights between Malaysia’s capital Kuala Lumpur and Macau from three to four daily flights from 1st March.
To promote these new services AirAsia is offering special fares on all of these routes: from RM99 (USD27.44) one-way between Kuala Lumpur and Macau; MYR49 (USD13.58) one-way between Kota Kinabalu and Macau; and RM49 one-way between Kuching and Macau.
