Managers for Ponte 16, a casino resort on Macau’s Inner Harbour at the edge of the city’s historic old town, say the number of visitors to the year-old venture jumped 30% over the Lunar New Year period, peaking at 16,000 per day.
The resort, which is 51% owned by Dr Stanley Ho’s casino operating company Sociedade de Jogos de Macau, includes a recently opened hotel under Accor’s Sofitel brand. Ponte 16 said the peak daily table drop for its public gaming tables reached HK$28 million.
