Melco Resorts & Entertainment has announced it will reopen high-end Japanese restaurant Hide Yamamoto at Studio City from this Friday 19 November.
The restaurant was founded by Chef Yamamoto, who trained under prestigious French chef Roger Verge, the man who pioneered the nouvelle cuisine movement in France in the 1960s. Chef Yamamoto has had the honor of serving in the inaugural luncheons of three generations of US Presidents: Reagan, Bush and Clinton, and now Studio City guests can again enjoy a diverse Japanese culinary experience created by the renowned chef.
The restaurant is helmed by a team of veteran chefs, with fresh seafood and seasonal produce flown in from Japan to produce Edomae sushi, teppanyaki and modern robatayaki delicacies, presenting a gourmet journey through the finest Japanese culinary art.
According to Melco’s announcement, the return of Hide Yamamoto will bring with it a new menu comprising cold dishes, warm dishes, sushi and sashimi, sushi rolls, robatayaki, teppanyaki, rice and desserts. Guests can also choose a seven-course teppanyaki set menu or an eight-course premium sushi set menu, while signature dishes include Japanese Oita Wagyu beef specialty, Sea Urchin Wrapped with Wagyu Beef Tempura, Sea Bream and Pickled Plum Maki Roll and Toro and Scallion Maki Roll, Spring Chicken Stuffed with Truffle Butter Rice, Sea Urchin Omelet Teppanyaki, Grilled Eel Kamameshi, as well as Ichigo Parfait and Chilled Jelly with Matcha Ice Cream.
Hide Yamamoto is dedicated to making environmentally and socially responsible decisions in terms of ingredient sourcing, and provides certified, sustainable seafood such as salmon, Boston lobsters and silver cod fish on the menu, which aligns with Melco’s commitment to sustainability.
The reopening of Hide Yamamoto comes just days after Melco held a topping off ceremony for Studio City Phase 2, due to open in December 2022.
