News reaches AGI that Atronic, the German casino equipment maker, has had game designers out in the Philippines looking at business opportunities in that market.
Atronic has certainly had interesting times in Macau recently with some reported queries on its equipment by the local regulator and a change in management at regional sales level. Earlier this month Chiang Lai Fatt took over from Zane Reynolds as General Manager, Asia.
The company says Mr Chiang has extensive experience of the Asian casino and slot hall market and described the appointment as “a positive step forward in our strategy”.
Atronic is wholly owned by GTECH Corporation, which in turn is 100 percent owned by Lottomatica S.p.A., one of the world’s largest lottery operators and a market leader in the Italian gaming industry.
