Philippines construction giant Prime Metro BMD Corporation, a joint venture between Bloomberry Resorts Chairman and CEO Enrique K. Razon Jr’s Prime Metroline Infrastructure Holdings and Australia’s BMD International, has completed construction on a new Mega Quarantine facility in Paranaque, Manila.

The facility – funded by the Razon Group and Bloomberry Cultural Foundation, Inc – provides 600 beds for patients as well as 10 support tents, associated amenities and visitor parking, according to a statement from PrimeBMD on Monday. It is the third quarantine facility in Manila to be funded by Razon, who has also made Bloomberry’s Solaire Resort & Casino available as a COVID-19 testing venue.

Established in 2017, PrimeBMD is described as a specialist in the construction of major transport and urban development infrastructure for private and government clients in the Philippines.

“Our expertise includes the construction of roads and bridges, marine infrastructure and dredging services, airport infrastructure, building works, water and wastewater infrastructure, rail infrastructure, and commercial/residential land subdivision projects,” the company said.

Located in the same district as Solaire, the new Mega Quarantine facility was built in consultation with the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), Department of Health (DOH) and COVID-19 Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF).
