Melco Resorts has purchased 20 electric buses to transport guests between its three Macau integrated resorts – City of Dreams, Studio City and Altira Macau.
The zero-emission fleet includes 18 tour coaches and two public bus style vehicles and is scheduled to begin operations in May 2018. Initial plans are for the buses to operate the longer Macau border gate and Macau Ferry route.
“Together with the Macau SAR government, Melco is committed to a greener Macau,” said Melco’s Executive Vice President, Chief Officer of Human Resources and Corporate Social Responsibility, Akiko Takahashi. “With the purchase and forthcoming operation of this zero-emission fleet, we hope to make the most effective use of resources and actively mitigate the impact of our operations on the environment.”
