Inside Asian Gaming and its parent company O MEDIA held a special office warming party last Friday night to celebrate their recent move to a new central Macau location within easy walking distance of all major Macau peninsula resorts and casinos.

The event, which attracted a small but exclusive invite-only guest list due to space limitations, provided a welcome opportunity to bring industry leaders together for some light-hearted banter and networking in a fun and casual atmosphere.

Among those to attend were four members of the 2019 Asian Gaming Power 50 list as compiled by IAG – Sands China President Wilfred Wong, Wynn Macau President and Executive Director Ian Coughlan, Rich Goldman Holdings Executive Director and CEO Nick Niglio, and Paradise Entertainment Chairman Jay Chun.

Also present were Wynn Macau COO Ciaran Carruthers, Aristocrat General Manager – Asia Pacific Lloyd Robson, Scientific Games Vice President for Asia Clinton Long and Consulting Director Ken Jolly, Sands China Vice President of Casino Operations Harold Tsakmaklis, Sands Macao Vice President and General Manager Danny Tang, MGM Macau AVP Finance Compliance Panos Makridis, Chairman of the Australian Chamber of Commerce Macau Patrick Liu, Multi-Property Vice President for Sheraton Grand Macao and The St. Regis Macao Janet McNab, Senior Advisor to Sega Sammy Creation Dominic Laubach, Assistant Vice President of Marketing Communications for Suncity Group James Wong, and Secretary to the Managing Director of STDM Mimi Chan.

Giving a speech to commemorate the occasion, O MEDIA Vice Chairman and CEO Andrew W Scott spoke of IAG’s rapid growth in recent years – from humble beginnings as a monthly magazine only in English to becoming the clear industry leader in gaming media, being published in three languages (English, Traditional Chinese and Japanese), developing daily e-newsletter IAG Breakfast Briefing with its 28,000-strong database and hosting multiple events such as the Asian Gaming Power 50 Gala Dinner, G2E Asia Awards, Macau After Dark and GAME.

Andrew also gave special mention to Harold Tsakmaklis and Vice President-Gaming at Galaxy StarWorld Jerry Soh, who were two of O MEDIA’s very first supporters after the company launched in 2009, while pointing to better times ahead after a difficult year with some “green shoots” for the Macau gaming industry finally starting to appear.

A huge thankyou goes to our beverage sponsors for the night – Macau Beer, Origens Macau and Evolution HR – and to our very own Desi Petridis who prepared all of the specially handmade and extremely delicious food. Attendees enjoyed a true “Greek feast” and a great time was had by all.
