There are reports Steve Wynn is such a perfectionist and so closely involved in the marketing of his business that on occasions he has ordered Wynn Macau’s in-house magazine be designed in Las Vegas and shipped to China by air at his personal expense.
The same completionist approach appears to apply in his attitude toward friends and business associates. The South China Morning Post’s ‘Lai See’ column reports Mr Wynn recently made a 36-hour round trip from Las Vegas to Macau just to attend a wedding. The nuptials were for Jonathan Zeman, son of Wynn Resort Ltd shareholder and director Allan Zeman. Mr Zeman senior is a well-known entrepreneur in Hong Kong’s entertainment sector, running—among other things—Ocean Park, the wildlife theme park.
Lai See reports Mr Wynn barely had time to say ‘muzzeltof’ to the happy couple before pressure of business pushed him back on his plane for the return to Las Vegas—friendship indeed.
