SKYCITY Entertainment Group Limited has announced that its Group General Manager Corporate Affairs and Risk Officer, Peter Treacy, will leave the company to pursue a career in governance.
Treacy, a former partner of London-based law firm Linklaters, has been a member of the executive team since joining SKYCITY in 2005 as General Counsel and GM Government Relations and has had executive responsibility for risk, government relations, communications, surveillance, host responsibility, corporate social responsibility, health and safety and legal and regulatory affairs, the company said.
“Peter has made a significant contribution to the SKYCITY Group – he has been a key member of the executive team for many years,” said SKYCITY CEO Graeme Stephens.
“We understand his desire to move to a new phase of his career in consulting and governance and he leaves us with our very best wishes. We are pleased that Peter remains available to consult to SKYCITY on certain projects, including the New Zealand International Convention Centre, a project on which he has been involved from inception, leading negotiations with the Government and the construction contract with Fletcher Building”.
Mr Treacy will leave SKYCITY on 19 April 2018 with the company adding that his position will not be replaced.
