UK-based gaming product developer TCSJohnHuxley has revealed the launch of a new chip sanitizer, the first product in its “Care & Protect” range designed to protect gaming staff and players from the spread of COVID-19 on casino floors.
Utilizing UV-C light technology, the chip sanitizer allows operators to thoroughly sanitize 80 chips at a time in the space of a few minutes.
The machine, which includes a safety mechanism ensuring it won’t operate unless completely shut, can be fitted under a gaming table for efficiency or stacked in multiple units to allow for hundreds of chips to be sanitized at the same time, TCSJohnHuxley said.
“Since the shutdown of casinos worldwide, it was evident that the industry was going to have to make radical changes to ensure the safety and wellbeing of their staff and customers once they were back up and running,” explained Executive Chairman Tristan Sjöberg.
“As a result, we have developed our TCSJohnHuxley Care & Protect range of products that will provide the right tools to kick start our industry as well as bringing peace of mind to everyone who works in or visits a casino. The offerings will continue evolving and expanding to serve the needs of our customers.”
