Melco Resorts & Entertainment Limited threw weight behind the Macau annual charity event “Walk for a Million” organized by the Readers of Macao Daily News Charity Fund. A record number of participants, with a 2,300-strong force comprising of over 2,000 adults and 300 kids carried on Melco’s legacy of supporting the meaningful campaign in helping the needy in the community.

Additionally, on 6 December, Melco made a donation of MOP$600,000 to the Readers of Macao Daily News Charity Fund in support of the fund’s charitable works to the community.

Melco has always been an avid supporter of the creative industry and entrepreneurs of Macau. This year, local fashion designer Vincent Cheng has been commissioned to create a special uniform for Melco Walk for a Million joiners. The uniforms are thoughtfully designed for both employees and their children, since family is a strong emphasis in the Company’s values.

Ms. Akiko Takahashi, Executive Vice President and Chief Officer, Human Resources and Corporate Social Responsibility, Melco Resorts & Entertainment, said, “Melco is proud to support the Walk for a Million once again as a part of its wider CSR program in giving back to the community. A key focus of this vision is making a difference in the lives of people in Macau. I am proud of all our colleagues who have joined this purposeful event today and whom contributed to raising funds and donating generously for this worthwhile cause.”
