Poker King Club has launched its new poker room at the Venetian Macao ahead of this week’s inaugural Suncity Cup tournament series.

The Poker King Club, previously located in the Phoenix area of the main gaming floor, now sits next to Red Dragon Noodles in a space decorated with motifs built around luck. An official launch ceremony held this week was attended by the likes of Suncity Group Director of Marketing Strategy Jeffrey Si-Tou, President of Poker King Club Winfred Yu, Vice President of Casino Operations at Sands China Limited Harold Tsakmaklis, Chief Operating Officer of Seapower Trading Co Ltd Patrick Ting and Sales and Marketing Manager for Redbull Macau, Ken Leung.

The first tournament series to be held in the new Poker King Club, the Suncity Cup, boasts a HK$8 million guaranteed main event and is the culmination of several months of tournament across venues throughout Asia.

“The Suncity Cup has been another milestone for our organization. With the support of the Suncity Group and our loyal players, we’ve been able to bring the game of poker to an even wider audience,” said Yu.

“With players from China, Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia and other countries, we welcome you all to experience the all-new Poker King Club here at The Venetian Macao and look forward to an exciting week of poker for all involved”.

Poker King Club was founded in 2009 and currently has three poker rooms under its name: Poker King Club Macau, Poker King Club Manila at Solaire Resort and Casino and Poker King Club Korea at Maison Glad Hotel Jeju.
