Nepal’s new Tiger Palace Resort Bhairahawa has officially opened for business with owner Silver Heritage Group announcing that the property welcomed its first paying guests on Wednesday.
In a filing to the Australian Securities Exchange, Silver Heritage said final works to complete its soft opening would be conducted over the next 10 days including the spa, gym and swimming pool.
Co-founders Mike Bolsover and Tim Shepherd as well as local partners and members of the development, operations and pre-development team became Tiger Palace’s first “test” guests on 11 September with Project Director Adam Titus and other key management personnel moving in last Sunday 17 September.
Silver Heritage said the development of Tiger Palace “continues ahead of schedule and within the revised budget cost of US$51.8 million.” The casino is scheduled to open on 30 November.
It added that the Tiger Palace marketing team had launched a social media campaign on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter while the hotel booking system had been installed and is currently being connected to major travel sites as well as official travel agencies this week.
