Silver Heritage Group has announced the appointment of Mr Basil Jong as its new Chief Financial Officer, effective from 6 November 2017.
Mr Jong will replace Martin Wright in the role, who departs the company after 11 years. Mr Wright will remain with Silver Heritage until the end of the calendar year to oversee the completion and full opening of Tiger Palace Resort in Nepal in November.
Mr Jong was most recently CFO of Brisbane Racing Club, which operates two racecourses in the Queensland capital – Eagle Farm and Doomben – and whose revenue streams include electronic gaming machines (EGMs).
He was previously CFO at Western Suburbs Leagues Club in Sydney – a large club boasting 474 EGMs – and has also worked with the owners of Alice Springs Casino & Convention Centre and Wharf Casino in Queenstown.
He is a Fellow of CPA Australia as well as CA of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants.
