VIP baccarat comprised 57.1% of Macau’s total GGR for the quarter, up from 51.5% in 2Q16, with VIP baccarat revenue for the first six months of 2017 at MOP$71.3 billion – a 25.1% year-on-year increase.
Mass market baccarat revenue enjoyed a 5.7% increase to MOP$19.7 billion, comprising 31.2% of Macau’s GGR.
In total, baccarat accounted for 88.3% of the city’s GGR in 2Q17.
In recent months Macau junket operators have told IAG anecdotally of a resurgence in VIP and the latest statistics confirm this.
