Konami Corp and Aristocrat Technologies have led the way for the second consecutive month on the AGEM Index – a monthly index compiled by the Association of Gaming Equipment Manufacturers (AGEM) tracking the performance of 13 global gaming suppliers throughout the world.
Konami contributed 12.3 points to the June index on the back of a 14.71% increase in its stock price to ¥6,240, while Aristocrat reported a 5.32% increase in stock price to AU$22.96, contributing 12.69 points.
Scientific Games Corporation also performed strongly with a 13.79% increase in stock price to $26.40.
Overall, the composite index stood at 421.95 points at the close of June 2017, representing a sequential increase of 31.77 points or 8.1%.
The AGEM Index reported a year-over-year increase for the 21st consecutive month, and has climbed 161.94 points, or 62.3%, since May 2016.
During the latest period, 10 of the 13 global gaming equipment manufacturers reported month-to-month increases in stock price, with five up by more than 10 percent.
AstroCorp was the biggest loser for the month, down 10.16%.
