Donaco International Ltd has announced a new deal with international casino marketing agency Vivo Tower Limited to sign up Asian junket operators for its Star Vegas property in Cambodia.
The deal will see Donaco receive a guaranteed US$1.5 million in 2018 and US$3 million each year thereafter, plus revenue share, with the goal of boosting VIP traffic and filling available capacity.
“Vivo Tower will seek to sign up international junkets from Macau, Hong Kong, Malaysia and elsewhere to bring players to the property from all around Asia,” Donaco said in a filing to the Australian Securities Exchange.
“Vivo Tower has already engaged a Malaysian junket operator, Da Kim Global Group, who currently bring VIP customers to Genting properties in Malaysia, Singapore and Manila, and also to Naga World in Phnom Penh, and other casinos in Macau and Australia. Da Kim will commence bringing VIP customers to the Star Vegas from 1 July 2017.”
The deal follows a previous announcement by Donaco regarding a new partnership with Poker King Club to host international poker tournaments, starting with APT Cambodia from 1 July.
Donaco revealed that a number of Manchester United greats will take part in APT Cambodia, including Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Nicky Butt, Philip Neville and Gary Neville.
“Our relationships with Manchester United, Poker King Club, Asian Poker Tour and Vivo Tower Limited are all working together, indicating the potential of the Star Vegas property to appeal to a new group of international customers,” said Donaco Managing Director and CEO, Joey Lim.
