Australasian Gaming Expo 2017 to be third biggest gaming trade show in the world

The Australasian Gaming Expo (AGE) will cover 19,000 square meters and boast a whopping 250 exhibitors to celebrate its move to the new ICC Sydney in 2017, making it the third biggest gaming trade show in the world and the largest in the Southern Hemisphere.

Alongside the latest slot machines and table games from the world’s leading suppliers, this year’s exhibition – to be held from 15 to 17 August – will showcase Audio Visual equipment, ATM Equipment, Building Services, Cash Handling & Equipment, Consultancy Services, Entertainment, Financial Services, Food and Beverage, Furniture, IT, Interior Design & Fitout, Marketing Services, Membership Management, Paging & Communication, Point of Sale Systems, Retail, Security, Signage & Displays and Staff Uniforms.

Visitors to the exhibition will see 800 poker machines and hundreds of truckloads of signage and equipment which is moved in to the ICC Sydney Exhibition Centre, installed, connected, tested, used and compared by the most demanding critics and then moved out again – all in only a few days.

Last year 2,527 visitors attended the first day, with 2,911 on the second day and 1,359 on the third day. They came from every Australian State and Territory, along with a big contingent from New Zealand and international guests from America, Europe and around the Asia-Pacific region.

92% of visitors surveyed last year saw the Expo as an opportunity to see new products and technology, while 96% said the exhibition stand quality was good or excellent and 96% said the event itself was satisfactory or excellent.

Visitors who attend the Australasian Gaming Expo are eligible to win a trip for two to the Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas – including airfares from Sydney and 5 nights at a luxurious Vegas Resort and Casino. One trip for two will be drawn on each day of the Gaming Expo.

The AGE17 app is available for download at the Apple Store, or via the event website. The app features information including how to get to the venue, transport timetables, an interactive floor plan and a detailed exhibitor list. Visitors who have installed the app and accept messages, will receive a welcome message as they pass through the entry gate. Once they’re inside the exhibition and pass various points they will get updates about the daily Las Vegas trip draw, entertainment and other activities.

This year’s show will include complimentary seminars for all visitors over the first two days of the Expo. A highlight is the seminar at 9am on Wednesday 16 August, when financial commentator Michael Pascoe will chair a panel of Global CEOs from the gaming industry.

When visitors register on-line to attend the event, they’re also offered the opportunity to register for any seminars they wish to attend.

For the first time the Expo will feature the “AGE Daily” newspaper, covering both event and industry news, which will be free to all registered visitors and will be available online.

All visitors will be able to take away information in “digital show bags” just by tapping their entry badge at their preferred exhibitors’ stands and they’ll receive email information.

The event website includes the interactive floor plan which is updated in real time, along with a list of exhibitors which can be sorted by company name, stand number or category – and provides contact details for each exhibitor and their website address for further information.

Exhibition entry is complimentary to gaming industry executives, courtesy of the Gaming Technologies Association. The exhibition is open from 10:00 on Tuesday 15, Wednesday 16 and Thursday 17 August and closes at 17:00 on the Tuesday and Wednesday (and 15:00 on the Thursday).

More information and Visitor registration are available online at www.austgamingexpo.com.
