Galaxy Entertainment Group Deputy Chairman Francis Lui will give the keynote address to kick-off G2E Asia 2017 at the Venetian Macao today.
Mr Lui will speak at 9.30 this morning in a highly anticipated address that is expected to cover a range of issues within the Asian gaming industry including Macau’s recent recovery, Galaxy’s strong revenue results and developments in Japan.
Galaxy is likely to be one of the front runners for a Japan casino license should the Integrated Resorts Implementation Bill pass through the Diet in December 2017 and recently announced strategic partnerships with both Monte-Carlo’s SBM and Japanese architectural firm Tange Associates.
G2E Asia, celebrating its 11th year, is expected to break a number of records in 2017 with over 12,000 visitors, including 1,000 top international buyers from 90 countries and regions. There will be 180 exhibitors with 70 from the iGaming sector.
Josephine Lee, chief operating officer of Reed Exhibitions Greater China, said, “Our goal is to create the most comprehensive experience possible with conference and in-show features that complement the expo, which truly serves as the marketplace for the Asian gaming industry.”
Other features of Day 1 include the official Opening Ceremony and VIP Tour at 10.30am and the Asia Gaming Awards, to be held at the Parisian Macao from 19:00 tonight. The show will also feature a brand new daily newspaper, G2E Asia Daily – produced by Inside Asian Gaming – which will provide visitors with the latest news plus a comprehensive guide to networking events, conference schedules and other important information across all three days.
