The University of Macau is hosting the 4th Hospitality Leadership Program this week, an initiative by the Asia-Pacific Academy of Economics and Management aimed at addressing the scarcity in leadership talent in fast growing organizations that face market uncertainty and instability.
The two-day program, being held on Thursday and Friday this week, welcomes 42 participants from five if Macau’s concessionaires – Galaxy, Sands, Melco, Wynn and MGM – as well as Grand Coloane Resort ranging from Managers through Directors – all individually selected as leaders of the future by their employers.
Organized by Professor Glenn McCartney, the program’s objectives are to provide insight and analysis on Macau’s hospitality and gaming industry and the challenges on the expansion of Cotai; nurture Macau’s middle and senior business executives to become regionally competitive and socially responsible leaders in the hospitality industry; and to build a wider network of industry leaders and professionals and leading scholars in Macau’s hospitality and gaming industry.
Speakers this week include Professor McCartney, Professor Desmond Lam, Professor Rico Lam, Professor Timothy Simpson, Professor Jorge Godinho and O MEDIA CEO Mr Andrew W Scott.
