Genting Dream, the first ship of Genting Hong Kong’s luxury cruise line Dream Cruises, made its first visit to Japan last week, travelling from Hong Kong and Nansha to Okinawa’s Naha and Miyakojima.
More than 4,000 guests made the journey, which marked the debut of Genting Dream’s Journey to the Island Gems of Japan summer itinerary. They were joined by Japanese dignitaries, Genting Hong Kong executives and local media for a special ceremony on board the ship before being welcomed to Okinawa with a variety of performances and cultural presentations.
“Okinawa, Japan has always been one of the most scenic destinations with its pristine beaches and crystal clear waters, as well as myriad cultural and historic attractions,” said President of Dream Cruises Mr Thatcher Brown. “On the Journey to the Island Gems of Japan itinerary, not only will guests enjoy Naha, Okinawa’s capital city, but for the first-time ever, they will also have the opportunity to sample the beauty of Miyakojima, also known as The Most Beautiful Island in Japan, on the same cruise.”
Genting Hong Kong has recently developed three distinct cruise line brands including the ultra-luxury Crystal Cruises which is set to launch later this year.
