Macau gaming investor Success Universe, which operates peninsula integrated resort Ponte 16 under license from SJM, has issued a positive profit alert ahead of the release of its 1H19 financial results later this month.

In an announcement filed with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, Success Universe said it expects to record an increase of “around 2 to 3 times” in consolidated profit for the six months ended 30 June 2019, having reported a profit of HK$14.2 million in the prior year period.

The company said the increase is primarily due to an increase in its share of profit from Ponte 16.

Success Universe saw gross profit of HK$34.4 million and profit attributable to owners of the company of HK$54.5 million in FY18, boosted by a 90% increase in revenue to HK$1.12 billion.
